Double Blind (Special Delivery #2) by Heidi Cullinan Tara's Rating: 5/5 Stars
Book Blurb:
Know when to show your hand…and when to hedge your bets.
Randy Jansen can’t stand to just sit by and watch as a mysterious man throws money away on the roulette wheel, especially since Randy’s got his own bet going as to the reason this guy is making every play like it’s his last day on earth. The man’s dark desperation hits Randy right in the gut. Half of him warns that getting involved is a sucker’s bet, and the other half scrambles for a reason—any reason—to save the man’s soul.
Ethan Ellison has no idea what he’s going to do with himself once his last dollar is gone—until Randy whirls into his life with a heart-stealing smile and a poker player’s gaze that sees too much.
Randy draws Ethan into a series of wagers that leads to a scorching kiss by midnight, but he isn’t the only one with an interest in Ethan’s vulnerability. Soon they’re both taking risks that not only play fast and loose with the law, but with the biggest prize of all: their hearts.
Warning: This story contains high-stakes poker, gangsters with a weakness for kittens, foursomes, and kinky consensual sex.
This book has been previously published and has been revised from its original release.

Tara's Review
Heidi Cullinan does it again! Randy finds his love at a roulette table losing his last five dollars. Randy can not seem to walk away from Ethan so he makes a bet with him! Why not, they are in a casino? Ethan begins to tell Randy his story of lost love and a gun under the front seat of his car, which happens to be his last worldly possession. Ethan is rather pathetic but something about him wins Randy over!
As Randy and Ethan grow closer, Randy has to explain Mitch and Sam and their relationship. Randy is not willing to lose his friendship with them and Ethan seems to understand (he even participates)! Which is pretty damn hot!
Ethan may have started out pathetic but he rebuilds his self esteem and turns out to be smoking hot! In his designer suits with Randy on his arm, there is no room for pathetic! They make a damn hot couple and the sex between them is some how sweet and steamy!
This is a must read! If you loved Special Delivery than you will adore Randy and Ethan's story!
“Because the wheel wasn’t about you. The wheel wasn’t about anyone. It was just a damn wheel. It was as Randy said—you had to get the best of it. You had to go and be your own wheel.”
― Heidi Cullinan, Double Blind
“When life fucks you over, you don’t slow down. You just keep going, keep moving, eyes peeled for the next opportunity, the next dance. Don’t get bogged down in the endings or the parts where you know you’re fucked even before you get there. Bluff, baby. Bluff until they all fold or until you start to believe it yourself. If you fail, get up and bluff again.”
― Heidi Cullinan, Double Blind
“God, they hit you with the stupid stick way, way too hard.”
― Heidi Cullinan, Double Blind
“Sit. I can't flirt standing up, and you're freakishly tall.”
